Welcome to the 13th Annual Biology Graduate Student Symposium (GSS)!

GSS is a day dedicated to graduate students and their research. As one former GSS organizer put it, “this is a great chance for us grad students to give a talk in a friendly environment, get feedback from students and faculty, win prizes, amaze our peers, and fill everyone in on what we’ve been up to” (Grason et al, 2011).

Friday, March 4th ~ Physics Astronomy Tower (PAT) C520
Breakfast and coffee at 9:00am
Talks run from 9:30-4:00pm with snacks, coffee, and lunch provided throughout
Reception to follow in the Greenhouse (with drinks and more snacks)!

If you are interested in giving a short 10-12 minute talk, in being an emcee, or helping organize the GSS, please contact Katrina van Raay (kvanraay@uw.edu) or Marlies Kovenock (kovenock@uw.edu). There will be an award ceremony recognizing the best presentations during the reception after the symposium.
